STRIDE is a modern integrated design environment for structural engineers. With it, calculations sit at the heart of projects, making increased quality, agility, and better managed complexity possible with better technology.
Calculations don't belong in a stale PDF or a cumbersome spreadsheet. They should flow in a structured way and be evergreen, growing with the project through each iteration. Write your calculations as functions or templates and do more with them than ever before.
Collaborate with your peers and review each other's work incrementally with comments and approvals. Huge, point-in-time design reviews are costly and frustrating, but with continuous smaller reviews, errors can be caught earlier and more engineers can learn collaboratively with a clear project history as a bonus.
Integrations with other tools will be critical to enable continuity in the calculations. Between first party and community driven integrations/extensions, the possibilities are endless. FEM integrations, detail sketching, simple beam analysis, section databases, and more become possible.
Context-aware autocompletions, error and type checking, and maybe even design generation may be possible with the use of AI tools. We want to push the boundaries of what we can do today so that we can meet the challenges of the future.
